Anganwadi CSR Proposal Format | Scope & Budget Pack
Write an anganwadi CSR proposal that clears your committee: scope wording, budget heads, Schedule VII alignment, indicators and reporting format.
Writing an Anganwadi CSR proposal that clears a committee
What a CSR committee actually asks, the eight sections of an Anganwadi CSR note, scope wording that can be lifted directly, the budget-head table, and monitoring indicators that survive an audit. It also covers Schedule VII alignment and the implementing-agency question.
Whether a particular project qualifies as CSR expenditure is a determination for the funding company and its own legal and tax advisers, not for Smart Anganwadi.
Common questions
- Is there a standard CSR proposal format for Anganwadi projects?
- There is no single statutory format. Most CSR committees look for the same eight elements | executive summary, problem statement with location logic, Schedule VII alignment, scope of work, budget by head, timeline and milestones, monitoring indicators, and reporting cadence with evidence. Where your own company CSR policy prescribes a template, that template takes precedence over any format on this page.
- Can Smart Anganwadi write the proposal for us?
- We can supply the parts that only an implementation partner can supply: the centre-wise scope, the budget heads, the milestone schedule, the reporting and evidence plan, and a per-site cost once an assessment has been carried out. The problem statement, the location logic, the Schedule VII position and the internal approvals stay with your team, because those are your organisation’s positions to take and to defend.
- What cost figure should we put in the proposal?
- Not one lifted from a website. Per-centre cost depends on the condition of the specific building, the scope you approve and current material rates, so the figure is quoted per site after an assessment. If you need a number before the assessment in order to set an internal ceiling, ask us for an indicative planning range and record in the note that it is a planning range pending survey, not a quotation.
- Do you provide the CSR funds, or help us find a funder?
- No. Smart Anganwadi does not provide grants, funding, loans or any assistance or government financial support, and we do not source funders or place staff at centres. We are an implementation and execution partner for projects that are already funded, or that are being budgeted by the organisation which will fund them.
- Which monitoring indicators can you actually evidence?
- Delivery indicators | completion against the approved centre-wise scope, kit and TLM deployment, training attendance, and dated photographs subject to consent and safeguarding rules. Attendance registers and growth-monitoring records belong to the centre and the department, so we can report what those records show for an agreed period with data-completeness notes, but we do not certify them. Learning change requires a baseline before work starts and the same assessment tool at follow-up.
- Will you sign as the implementing agency on our proposal?
- That depends on how the funds are routed and on the registration and filing requirements the CSR Rules place on the entity receiving them. It is settled case by case with your CSR and legal teams before the note goes to committee, and the answer can change how the budget heads are structured, so it is worth resolving early rather than at approval stage.
