Anganwadi project delivery, state by state
Delivery pages for the states Smart Anganwadi works in, covering centre renovation and new-build, BaLA-style classroom design, furniture and learning material supply, and Karyakarta orientation. Each state page describes how work is scoped and executed in that state.
Anganwadi services are administered by each State Women and Child Development / ICDS department. Smart Anganwadi is a private execution partner engaged by a funder, and is not a department, scheme or recruiter.
Common questions
- Does a State page mean you have already completed projects there?
- No, and we will not imply otherwise. These are coverage and capability pages. A State page sets out how Anganwadi work is administered and approved there, what we can survey, scope, quote and execute, and which districts we will assess. Where we have a completed project we can name, it appears with the partner’s consent and a verifiable source | not as a number on a coverage page.
- My State is not listed. Can you still work there?
- Possibly. Enquiries from any State are welcome. Whether a package is serviceable depends on the district list, the centre count, the timeline and the material and travel logistics, and we assess that before quoting. We also say no when a cluster cannot be executed to a standard we would be willing to document.
- Are you appointed by the government or by the funder?
- By whoever is paying for the work | a company, its foundation, its implementing agency, an NGO or a trust | or by a department through its own procurement process. For departmental work, the applicable tender, rate-contract or GeM process governs how a vendor is appointed. Where the centre is a government asset, the department has to permit the work regardless of who is funding it.
- Do you quote a standard per-centre rate for a State?
- No. There is no fixed per-centre rate anywhere. The figure follows the condition of the existing structure, which scope heads apply, the number of centres in the package and the logistics of the location. Indicative planning ranges and the basis for each are set out on our project cost page, and the actual figure is quoted per site after the survey and measured bill of quantities.
- Do you provide funding for Anganwadi projects, or Anganwadi jobs?
- No. Smart Anganwadi does not provide grants, funding, loans or any assistance or government financial support, and does not recruit Anganwadi Karyakartas, Sahayikas or supervisors | those appointments are made by the State department through its own process. We are a private execution and supply vendor engaged once a project already has a funder.
