What sizes should Anganwadi tables and chairs be?

Size follows the child, not the room. Seat height is set from the child’s knee-to-floor height so the feet rest flat on the floor, and the table working height then follows from the seat. As an indicative planning band we start at approximately 20 to 22 cm seat height for 2 to 3 years, 24 to 26 cm for 3 to 4 years and 28 to 31 cm for 4 to 6 years, with the table between roughly 40 and 52 cm across that range. These are starting figures for specification | the final dimensions are fixed against the age mix at the centre and against the dimension schedule in your tender or BoQ where one is prescribed.

What does Anganwadi furniture cost?

We do not publish a rate card. For planning context, ICDS financial norms provide Rs 10,000 per Anganwadi centre for furniture and equipment once in five years, and Rs 7,000 for a mini-AWC | that is a published government budget head covering a water filter, furniture and equipment together, not our price. The actual figure is quoted per site and per order after assessment, because item mix, material, quantity, packing and the transport distance to the cluster move it substantially.

What is an Anganwadi board, and is it the same as a blackboard?

It is the writing and display board used in the centre, and procurement teams searching GeM usually find it under the standardised category wording “mounting board or anganwadi board” rather than under “blackboard”. In practice a centre needs two boards at two heights | a child-height writing and display board in the learning zone, and an adult-height board for the growth chart, IEC material and notices. We quote against whatever category wording your BoQ or GeM line uses; send us the exact wording and we will match it.

Which certifications do your furniture items carry?

We do not claim any certification on this page, because the documents belong to the manufacturer of the model finally specified, not to us. Before you order we tell you in writing which of these exist for that exact make and model: material or test report, non-toxic and lead-free finish declaration, load or stability test report, and BIS or other standard conformity. Where a document does not exist for that model, we say so rather than substituting a similar one.

Can you supply furniture for several centres at once, and what happens if something arrives damaged?

Yes. For a multi-centre package the consignment is split centre-wise before despatch with a packing list per centre, and a dated receipt record with photographs is taken at each delivery point. Transit damage reported within the window stated in the quotation is replaced under that quotation. The window, the reporting method and what it covers are written into the quotation before you order.

Do you provide furniture free of cost, or funding to buy it?

No. Smart Anganwadi does not provide grants, funding, loans or any assistance or government financial support, and does not recruit Anganwadi staff. We are a private implementation and supply partner engaged once a project already has a funder | a CSR budget, a government sanction, or a foundation or NGO grant held by someone else. If you are looking for funding or for an Anganwadi job, we are not the right organisation.
