Do you take on Anganwadi renovation as a contractor, or only as a consultant?
As an execution vendor. We survey the centre, prepare the measured scope and bill of quantities, price it, execute the civil, sanitation, electrical, painting and furnishing work with our own site supervision, and hand the centre back with a documented record. Advisory work without execution is not what the company is set up to do.
What does an Anganwadi renovation cost?
There is no fixed per-centre rate. The figure follows the condition of the existing structure, which heads are in scope (roof, seepage, flooring, toilet, kitchen, doors, painting, furniture, kits), the number of centres in the package, and the travel and material logistics for the location. Do you work directly with the ICDS or WCD department?
Where the centre is a government asset, the department has to permit the work. Scope, specifications and the estimate go to the department alongside the funding partner before work starts, and handover is done jointly with the department representative and the Karyakarta present. For departmental procurement, the applicable tender, rate-contract or GeM process governs how a vendor is appointed.
Can you renovate a single centre, or is there a minimum number?
A single centre and a cluster can both be scoped. Whether one distant centre is sensible to execute depends on travel, local labour availability and material logistics, which we assess and tell you before quoting rather than after.
Are you a CSR implementing agency?
No. We are the execution and supply vendor that a funding company, its foundation or its implementing agency appoints. The CSR funds and the statutory responsibility stay with the funding entity. We invoice for the scope executed and provide the measured quantities, photographs, material records and completion documents the partner’s CSR committee and auditors ask for. Whether a project qualifies under Schedule VII is determined by that committee and its own advisers.
Do you provide funding for Anganwadi renovation, or Anganwadi jobs?
No. Smart Anganwadi does not provide grants, funding, loans or any assistance or government financial support, and does not recruit Anganwadi Karyakartas, Sahayikas or supervisors | those appointments are made by the State department through its own process.
