How Anganwadi services are administered in Madhya Pradesh

Anganwadi services in Madhya Pradesh are delivered under the Integrated Child Development Services framework, grouped nationally under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 and implemented by the State through its Women and Child Development Department. District implementation runs through the district Programme Officer, with project-level officers and Child Development Project Officers below, and the District Collector coordinating convergence work at district level. Where an adoption arrangement applies | a company, a foundation, an NGO or an individual officer taking responsibility for a specific centre | the department defines the permitted scope heads and the branding position, and the adopting party appoints and pays the execution vendor. We are that vendor. We do not hold the adoption and we do not hold the funds.

Adoption is a funding relationship, not a construction plan

An adoption arrangement says who is responsible and what may be funded. It does not tell anyone what the roof needs. That gap is what the site survey and the measured bill of quantities close.

Collector-level coordination

District administrations commonly coordinate adoption and convergence drives. Where that is the case, the scope and estimate go to the district ICDS office and the Collector’s office alongside the adopting party before work starts.

Forested and tribal districts

Large parts of the State involve long approaches and longer material lead times. Centres are clustered geographically, and we say before quoting when a single remote centre is not sensible to execute properly.
